Totally Stuck on Crocheted Triangle Fringe Scarves

Just taking some time to share what I have been working on.

I pulled this book off the shelf the other day.  It’s funny how you can look at a thing a thousand times and not be receptive to any idea it offers.  Then one day…BAM!

Triangle Fringe Scarf. Designed by Rachael Oglesby. Published in CROCHET BOUTIQUE.

There are a few patterns in this book I haven’t tried yet that look very promising.  But, this one just kind of . . . reached out and grabbed me.

Just to get a feel for the pattern, which is soooo incredibly easy!, I pulled out some ‘scraps’ of yarn…

Not a terrific photo, but you get the idea.

Not a terrific photo, but you get the idea.  I used almost 5 ounces of yarn.

The biggest draw for me is using an over-sized hook.  That makes it a very quick project. (I have made four scarves in about five days!)  The most I have used on any one scarf was just under 6 ounces of Caron’s Simply Soft yarn.  Plus, these scarves are so totally eye-candy impressively appealing!  Just throw on a scarf, and you are ‘all dressed up’  The possibilities are endless!

Just randomly put this one together to see how it would turn out. I love it!

Here’s another version…this one turned out a little better.

And here, my favorite so far.  I made this one a little larger.  Steam pressed this one out before I fringed it.

A couple more shots just to show some detail…I decided it was fun to wear this one in layers.  And, worn as a shawl, they are just the right touch of extra warmth to wear any time you need to ward off that little ‘chill’.

Aren’t they just to die for ? ? ? *sigh*

I have made another in blue and just started one in a beautiful ‘Pistachio’ green.

Just like Lays Potato Chips.  Can’t stop at just one!

I hope to have given you just a little bit of inspiration for an easy, fashionable, quick, stylish, something-to-whip-up-quick-for someone you love (or, totally-for-yourself-because-you-can) gift on your Christmas gift list. Hug someone you love…and do it often.  Just because you can!
