I thought it high time I did some sharing today. Hoping for a little closure.
One month ago today my Husband of 36 years passed away, quietly, at home surrounded by family and a few close friends.
His illness progressed much more quickly than anyone could have imagined. So, unfortunately, Mickey Joe did not get to attend the Yankees/Mariners game. My children and I were able to attend, thanks to a lot of very generous donations. It was certainly good to get away for a couple of days. I am so grateful for that.
Thank you so much Seattle’s Marriott Residence for upgrading us to the Luxury Suite on the top floor. We spent two nights there. What fabulous accommodations! I will probably never experience anything like that again. *sigh*

We had a very good day. What a great memory, still, sad because Mick could not (physically) attend. We all felt him there in spirit. And, the Yankees won! (Sorry all you ‘Yankee haters’ *tee hee*) For those of you who did not know, because my husband’s parents were die-hard Yankees fans, he was named after MICKEY Mantle, and JOE DiMaggio. His father wanted to name him Mickey Mantle Mackler, but his mother would not allow it, so…a compromise! Another die-hard Yankee fan was born. ♥

Thank you for sharing these wonderful memories with me. I promise, I will be back, soon, in a crafting capacity. But for now, my heart still aches too much! The good news, I have picked up my crochet hook! And knitting as well.
