Thought I would take the time to share some things I have been working on.
Here is a slouchy beanie I made with some incredibly soft and luxurious organic cotton yarn. I absolutely love it! Perhaps I will work on writing the pattern . . .
Crochet Cotton Slouchy Beanie, in Charcoal.
Here are a couple of new wine totes. The black one I made several years ago, and just came across it packed away the other day.
As you may, or may not know…cotton is my ‘go-to’ yarn of choice. 😀 I think I’ll make a beanie in each color.
Would you believe, this wine tote is basically the same pattern as the slouchy beanie.
The lavender tote is made with a fantastic organic cotton yarn.
The black tote is made with some really nice and slinky nylon yarn.
And, last-but-not-least . . . a new ‘collared’ cowl. I have not seen anything like it before. And, in the same yarn, another slouchy.
I had originally planned on this being a ‘hooded’ cowl.
Changed my mind. I just didn’t want this yarn up and around my face. Being a ‘wooly’ yarn, it’s a little bit itchy, and too chunky to have a good drape..
This is a really different kind of yarn. Seems to be what I know to be called a ‘roving’ yarn. Fairly chunky.
This yarn comes from Istanbul, Turkey.
Slouchy beanie in the same yarn. Didn’t turn out too bad.
I still have enough of this yarn to probably make a small afghan. I must have gotten a hell-of-a deal. Has anyone ever shopped at DBNY.com?
Well, I think that’ll just about do it for this weekend. Now to get back to stitching. My happy place.

are you sharing the pattern for collared cowl? never seen anything like it. awesome
There is no ‘written’ pattern. Yet. So many of the things I make just sort of . . . evolve. I get an idea and just run with it. Some projects will just kind of take an unexpected turn (like this one). I’ll try to work on it though! Thank you!
You really have to start writing down your patterns – please.
okay…I keep telling myself that. Even if it’s just for me.
It takes a lot of discipline . . .
Discipline is so hard when the Muse is running, isn’t it? That said…you write that collared cowl pattern down, and I’ll buy it! I, too, have never seen anything like it. Gorgeous! and the matching color beanie compliments it well.

Alright, alright. I’ll do it. 😀 Thank you!

Ellen, with your talent, I’m sure you have a boat load of fans!
You have a Like button! I click it all the time. Patience, I can well afford for you, G-Ma. I do not wish to disturb your wonderful Muse with discipline. When you’re ready to pen that pattern and post it to Etsy, I’ll be there! Take your time…is it ready yet? ;-D
