About gmaellenscraftycorner

I am a recently widowed, mother of three wonderful, grown children, G-Ma (Grandma) to seven beautiful grandchildren. I work full time at a nearby grocer as the Pricing Coordinator. In my spare time, I craft and blog. Crochet is my obsession, my compulsion. My best friend, my therapist. I also have learned I love to knit! Who knew??? I may never be a master knitter, but I am a happy knitter. :D Work, family, Women's Pool League, crafting and blogging. Pretty much takes up every waking minute of every day, but besides that I love movies and music (which I can enjoy while I am crafting!). And here I thought I didn't have a life! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog. I appreciate every click. :D My Etsy www.etsy.com/shop/gmaellen

Absolutely gorgeous work! Thanks for sharing….I bet they fly off your craft show! Are there any particularly good resoiurces to learn how to make the crochet and bead jewellery, as I enjoy both jewellery making and crochet and it would be really nice to be able to combine them…especially with the festive season not so far away! LOL! I’d really very much appreciate a nudge in the right direction, please, as I love what you have created! 😀

    • My resources for beaded crochet are the books “the Beaded Edge” by Midori Nishida/CRK DESIGN, and it’s sister publication “the Beaded Edge 2”. You should check them out on Amazon.com. I have gotten many crochet books there. It’s usually the best bargain.

As for making the jewelry, I just played with the designs and adding clasps as I went. I’ll just bet with your jewelry making experience you will make fabulous beaded crochet jewelry!

Thank you so much for your compliments! It really means a lot. 😀

Thanks for telling me about the books – I have just treated myself and ordered both books from amazon.co.uk, and they should be with me by Tuesday (which is pretty good to say it’s already into Monday morning – just – here in the UK!)….I can’t wait! I’m actually quite excited about getting the books and having a go at some of the things you have made. If they turn out just half as good as those which you have created, I’ll be happy! 😀 I’ll let you know how I get on when I take the plunge and actually try working some pieces! Many thanks again. ::-)

  2. That is fabulous! I can’t wait to hear how you’ve done. 🙂
