Breast Cancer Awareness . . . my small contribution.

So, everyone knows October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, right???  Well, I have wanted to do a little something for a very long time.  I just never gave it enough thought or time.  Now, the time has just presented itself!

I have a very close friend who is very involved in a local club.  She is very actively involved.  All the time.  We were having a conversation the other day, and she was telling me about all the things she is busy with.  B.C.A.M. came up among other things.  I was also telling her about my new obsession . . . bracelets.  I suddenly decided I should contribute to her cause.  We decided perhaps she could sell some of my new bracelets and a portion would go towards her fundraiser.  I immediately got busy making pink bracelets.

Pretty pink beads on white nylon thread.

I made all these yesterday. I could make a ton of these! 😀

Then, the thought occurred to me, I could do so much more if I just simplified things.  If I make some very simple bracelets, people may be inclined to buy more!  I also made up my mind that all proceeds for these still-very-attractive smaller bracelets will go towards a very good cause.  This makes me very happy!

Happy Sunday, and Happy October . . . ‘tomorryo’ (as my precious granddaughter Celestine would say)

About gmaellenscraftycorner

I am a recently widowed, mother of three wonderful, grown children, G-Ma (Grandma) to seven beautiful grandchildren. I work full time at a nearby grocer as the Pricing Coordinator. In my spare time, I craft and blog. Crochet is my obsession, my compulsion. My best friend, my therapist. I also have learned I love to knit! Who knew??? I may never be a master knitter, but I am a happy knitter. :D Work, family, Women's Pool League, crafting and blogging. Pretty much takes up every waking minute of every day, but besides that I love movies and music (which I can enjoy while I am crafting!). And here I thought I didn't have a life! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog. I appreciate every click. :D My Etsy

Hi. Do you have a pattern for the white thread with pretty pink beads I can purchase? My sister was just diagnosed with breast cancer and I’d like to make one for her.

  2. Thank you so much! I’ll go find the book and order it. Thanks for your help! Blessings to you and your family. 🙂
