Works In Progress-Chakra Neckerchief. I love this super simple pattern!

This is an update on my blog post from a few days ago, I Must Be Crazy . . .

I found some gorgeous yarn in my stash that just screamed out – NECKERCHIEF!  It is one I got a good deal on some time ago and I just hadn’t found a suitable project yet:

ROWAN wool cotton 4 ply. Very luxurious.  Very lightweight.

Here I am using a Boye J hook 6.00mm Gives it a very nice drape.

So, I got this next one to a size I thought was good.  Now, I am not so sure.  Is it too big???  Or, too small.  Shall I fringe it instead of beading the edge?  So far it has taken less than 6 ounces of Simply Soft yarn . . .

Chakra Neckerchief? or Shawlettte? This one is made with Caron’s Simply Soft, Lt Country Blue. Very soft and comfy

I almost want to leave it just as it is. Or . . . I could put say, a shell stitch edging? Or maybe fringe it. ???  I just don’t think with this yarn beads would look right.  At least none of the ones I have on hand.

laid out flat, measures approx. 46 x 20 inches

If I get a few more of these done, I will be feeling pretty good about my Christmas gift stash!  Somehow I have a feeling I’ll be making quite a few of them.  I really like the idea of layering different colors, even different yarns.

Any thoughts?  I would love to hear them!  Smile
