On “The Beaded Edge”

Just thought I would share with you my attempt at one of the designs in the book The Beaded Edge:  Inspired Designs for Crocheted Edgings and Trims by Midori Nishida & CRK design.  It has been one of my main ‘go-to’ sources of inspiration.  Here is a link to Amazon.com  if you are interested in purchasing your own copy.

the Beaded Edge

Lariat crocheted with silk lace yarn and round beads in two colors. Pg. 51

design no. 13, pg 75

And now . . . my strand, which is not a completed project yet.  Not as long as the one in the book, ran out of beads.  I will have to come up with a clasp and it will be a necklace.  I hope.  (Click on any photo to go to gallery .  .  . )

Here are just a few other projects I have successfully made from this fabulous book.  They are available from my Etsy shop.

About gmaellenscraftycorner

I am a recently widowed, mother of three wonderful, grown children, G-Ma (Grandma) to seven beautiful grandchildren. I work full time at a nearby grocer as the Pricing Coordinator. In my spare time, I craft and blog. Crochet is my obsession, my compulsion. My best friend, my therapist. I also have learned I love to knit! Who knew??? I may never be a master knitter, but I am a happy knitter. :D Work, family, Women's Pool League, crafting and blogging. Pretty much takes up every waking minute of every day, but besides that I love movies and music (which I can enjoy while I am crafting!). And here I thought I didn't have a life! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog. I appreciate every click. :D My Etsy www.etsy.com/shop/gmaellen
