I Discovered Nylon Thread!

Sooo . . . it’s Saturday morning.  Yesterday I received my order of nylon thread from  fellow Etsian Edwards Jewelry Supply.  I was very excited!  First thing I decided to make myself a new magnet bracelet.  I always have one on my ‘working’ hand.  I swear by them.  The way I figure it, I would have had carpal tunnel syndrome long ago.  I am on the computer a lot at work.  And when I am not working . . . I am usually crocheting.  Anyway, here’s my prototype:

Nylon thread magnet bracelet. Also, beaded bracelet

That being done I felt the need to create MORE!  So I picked out these beautiful green beads and threaded them onto some nylon thread.  Here’s what came out of that venture.  I put it on and looked in the mirror . . . turn the wrist this way and that . . . my first thought was . . . IT LOOKS LIKE AN ACE BANDAGE!!!  yuk!!!

Humble beginnings

I put that aside and decided to go to one of my favorite books.  I have linked it to Amazon.com.  (One of my favorite places to shop)

The Beaded Edge

I made some flowers!  That was fun!

Beaded Flowers

Oh my gosh! Then I had an epiphany!  “Hey dummy!’ I said to myself, “Put ’em on the bracelet!!!

One flower . . .

Three flowers!

Still have to make the third flower to match the first two with six petals (or not).  OR . . . decided if I will only use a single flower.  But, you get the idea.  Doesn’t look so much like an ace bandage anymore.   \o/

I do believe this will be the next new item for sale in my Etsy shop!

First . . . maybe I’ll make some pretty pink or teal colored flowers and check those out . . .

Stay tuned!

If you have ANY thoughts, please feel free to leave me a comment.  I need some input.  : }

I hope you are having a great weekend!  Mine’s turning out to be another productive one.  ♥it!
