Knitting ~ The Lucky Scarf – And Thank You Hat

hugs for your head

hugsforyourhead.com. What a great website.

The Lucky Scarf – a free pattern.  I love this pattern so much!  It really doesn’t show it’s true personality until it’s blocked.

Lucky Scarf

“The simple design is reversible, easy to knit even while walking, great-looking for men or women, and packed full of lucky numbers.”

Next up, the Thank You Hat, which I found at

This is a fantastic website. If you have never been there, now’s the time!

WHIT’S KNITS: THANK YOU HATS  I chose the Simple Rib Pattern.  Easy, and fast!  Not sure mine looks quite this good.  And I did not add the little tassel.

This is The Simple Rib Pattern of the Thank You Hats. Easy pattern, and fast!

Here is the set.  Made lovingly for a very dear friend.

This scarf and hat set are made with Martha Stewart Crafts extra soft wool blend yarn. (A new favorite! Extra soft is spot on.)

So, here is my dear friend Jason.  Sporting his new Lucky Scarf and Thank You Hat.  ♥   We are now experiencing single digit temperatures in our little neck of the woods.  They are by no means perfect, but I do hope they are helping to keep you warm Jason!

Hello Jason! (I told him I thought the hat was too big. He said, "I'll grow into it." Gotta love it!)

Hello Jason! (I told him I thought the hat was too big. He said, “I’ll grow into it.” Gotta love it!)  The scarf could have been a little bit longer . . .

I hope this finds you all safe, warm and well . . . wherever you are.

About gmaellenscraftycorner

I am a recently widowed, mother of three wonderful, grown children, G-Ma (Grandma) to seven beautiful grandchildren. I work full time at a nearby grocer as the Pricing Coordinator. In my spare time, I craft and blog. Crochet is my obsession, my compulsion. My best friend, my therapist. I also have learned I love to knit! Who knew??? I may never be a master knitter, but I am a happy knitter. :D Work, family, Women's Pool League, crafting and blogging. Pretty much takes up every waking minute of every day, but besides that I love movies and music (which I can enjoy while I am crafting!). And here I thought I didn't have a life! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog. I appreciate every click. :D My Etsy www.etsy.com/shop/gmaellen
