Whit’s Knits: Chevron Baby Blanket

“If you lived through the 60s and 70s perhaps you have vivid memories of a chevron afghan. Perhaps you appreciated it at the time; were indifferent to it in the 80s; despised it in the 90s; and have developed a deep affection for it over the past decade, itchy acrylic, zany colors and all!

“This knitted Chevron Baby Blanket makes some accommodations both for modernity and for babies. Instead of hard-to-cuddle acrylic, this 100% cotton blanket is as deep and soft and cozy as a cloud. And instead of fast food orange and kitchen appliance avocado, this version is a delicate spectrum of natural colors just right for babies!”

So, I just had to share this fabulous and easy knit chevron baby blanket.  Use the link or the photo to get the pattern for this classic beauty.  I love it!  So simply elegant.  My goal is a throw size for the sofa to snuggle up with.

About gmaellenscraftycorner

I am married and mother of three wonderful children, G-Ma (Grandma) to seven beautiful grandchildren. I work full time at a nearby grocer as the Pricing Coordinator, which can be a very very stressful (especially around the Holiday Season) but rewarding position. In my spare time, I craft and blog. Crochet is my obsession, my compulsion. My best friend, my therapist. I also have learned I love to knit! Who knew??? I may never be a master knitter, but I am a happy knitter. :D I finally decided in March of 2011 to try my hand at selling my crafty work on Etsy (www.etsy.com/shop/gmaellen) and . . . it takes a lot of focus and determination. And time. During the fall and winter months, (actually on into spring as well) I take part in an organized women's pool league in my area. I have been playing pool on the league for about 35 years. For the past several years my lovely and talented daughter has been playing on my team as well. This makes me very happy. My husband and sons play on the men's league as well so we are a pool playin' family! The family that plays together, stays together! Work, family, pool and crafting and blogging. Pretty much takes up every waking minute of every day, but besides that I love movies and music (which I can enjoy while I am crafting!). And here I thought I didn't have a life! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog. I appreciate every click. :D

Oooh I love it too. I love the colours. Lime green is my favourite anyway. I’ve already printed off the pattern! Thank you.
